Incomplet

My pain was never gone;
Not even for a second.
It was a burden which I carried
For a lifetime’s every moment

A little child was what I was
Filled with fearsome moods of doubt
On the coldness of a night
I would very simply shiver.

I would cry, there would be no one-
To lend a loving arm
I became a stranger to myself, but-
Even the stranger wouldn’t help!

I wondered what it meant;
Who I was, I never knew.
Am I weak, so very weak?
There is something to discover

Weary of my woes,
And my tears I am tonight.
No attention I need now;
Just love, only depart

I need arms that would give love
Oh If only mine would bend!
I shall be all I can be
With no part of me left out

This utter need to cry,
With no tears ever deprived
In dire need of life,
I am right now, we are.

  1. “Oh If only mine would bend!

    Beautiful words about the need of self-love in our travels. Thumbs up!
