The Phoenix

~

Too much change has really changed me
And I’ve changed as much as that!

Hundred thousand days have passed
Since the other day I gasped…

All the lovers have gone missing
One more time I’ve missed them all

Countless faces I have faced and
Lots of walks of life I’ve walked

Many heart aches I’ve recovered
As I’ve mended every wound

So much hatred I have filtered
As I’ve loved all; bad or good

I’m a newborn; I’m a newbie
I’ve been born and born again

Every birth has cost me one or two
Or thousand billion more on end…

    1. Jingle,

the whole things with the community stuff, i’m sorry i couldn’t commit. i was sure i wouldn’t have any time to help with it.
for sure though, the nice people who have taken the responsibility will do a great job. specially Leo and Olivia who are always there to help and support.
hope all goes well and this beautiful thing we are all a part of continues and brings with it more joy every day.
thanks for everything you’ve done and are still doing.

      Peace🙂

  2. nice
I’m trying to find something to base my life upon,
Something in this strange world that goes on and on.
As the years go by and time fades away,
What used to be “good days” are now filled with dismay.
Tomorrow comes, and then again, it goes,
And my ambition to become something more, grows and grows.
Around the corner, yet miles away,
The life I want now, gets closer each day.
All I’ve ever wanted was something to live for,
I don’t want to be this little person anymore…

  3. It just fit into what and how phoenix is.. For us chinese, we hold hight regards of phoenix and indeed, words used to express about it philosophically.. Great write, I have to say..

Glad I found you.. even though you are the 13th in my list but well, who says 13 is unlucky.. I have got phoenix here..🙂

  4. i’m not a big fan of reincarnation either, Sina, but yeah, we’re forced to reincarnate a lot in our lives I think. sometimes, it works too🙂 lovely poetry. thanks for linking in to the Rally. always nice to read..! cheers!

  5. Woww…what brilliant imagery, Sina.. The phoenix leads such a noble life..healing the wounds of SO MANY, and in the process, absorbing the hurting ways of this world… and yet, it is reborn, with the same nobility each time…
I see why you’ve linked this poem with this week’s potluck.. it is a PERFECT tribute to this wonderful bird, and to all those that strive to make the life of another, more meaningful…

    A beautiful poem!!

    1. Kavita! first I must thank you for the beautiful comment and then i must say, yes! i precisely chose it for that reason🙂 the phoenix makes life more beautiful and the world a much better place🙂
